When one of Raffaele Di Lallo’s friends suggested to start a blog and share his plant care tips with the world, he had no idea this decision would be the turning point of his life. He eventually quit his corporate job and found huge success with his Instagram page and blog Ohio Tropics.
Di Lallo grew up surrounded by plants because his family used to own a gigantic vegetable and flower garden in his youth. He was still a child when he started growing things from seed, and he was in middle school when he became interested in houseplants while looking for a way to purify the air after his father started smoking a lot.
His love for plants has followed him for the rest of his life, even after he started working as a chemical engineer full-time. He decided to start his own blog about plant care, and it ended up growing into such a huge hit that Di Lallo was able to quit his job and focus on content creation full-time.
His Instagram page is now followed by over 250,000 people, and he offers plant care courses online. Di Lallo is also the author of several books about houseplants, including Houseplant Warrior.
