Socially Awkward Misfit Comics Cover Subjects of Introversion and Anxiety

Struggling in social situations is nothing to be ashamed of. As a matter of fact, a lot more people feel the same than you might assume. In order to show those people that they are not alone, cartoonist Ross Hendrick decided to come up with a series of comics titled Socially Awkward Misfit.

In Socially Awkward Misfit, the main character, Sam, is dealing with a range of social struggles, including introversion, anxiety, and depression. His approach to everyday situations is often relatable and can even bring out some chuckles.

According to Hendrick, he creates these comics based on the experiences from his own life.

“The most rewarding part of creating comics has been the feedback from lots of people who say they can relate to the issues in my cartoons, and it is heartwarming to hear that it has helped them to know they don’t feel alone in this world,” Hendrick shared in a recent blog post on Bored Panda.

Currently, Hendrick is working on a Socially Awkward Misfit book that will feature comics he has created in the past three years. Additionally, he’ll redraw some of his favorites from the past decade.
